A vacancy has arisen for a part-time Caretaker at Bletchley Park
Bletchley Park is a vibrant heritage attraction, open daily to visitors. Once the top-secret home to World War Two Codebreakers, our Mission is to preserve and enhance Bletchley Park, to attract, engage and educate visitors from all over the world through the continuing restoration and development of the entire estate and our exhibitions.
We are currently recruiting for a part-time Caretaker, to be responsible for the care and upkeep of the Bletchley Park site and buildings, including keeping the buildings secure, maintaining the cleanliness of the site and buildings, assisting with health and safety checks and assessments and undertaking minor repairs of buildings and equipment as required.
The ideal candidates should be physically fit, able to lift/carry and work at heights (using ladders).
Candidates must have a full driving licence as they will be required to operate company vehicle to carry out some tasks.
The role is every Friday and Saturday, 7:00am to 6:00pm with ½ hour lunch break, with occasional hours as cover for the other caretakers. Covering illness and annual leave for the job share partner.
The salary for this role is £10,701.60 per annum (£9.80 per hour) during 6 month probation with a view of it increasing to £11,400.48 per annum (£10.44 per hour) after successfully completing probationary period.
