Before you visit

Before you visit

1. Book a timed entry slot online

We have introduced timed entry slots for everyone. Please book in advance online onto one of our timed entry slots. You will receive a barcode with your booking confirmation email. Please bring with you, on your mobile device or as a printout, this will be scanned when you arrive.

2. Limited capacity

We are limiting our capacity to ensure we can provide a safe visit for you and to help everyone follow social distancing guidelines. You may need to queue in some areas.

3. Follow guidelines

Please follow government guidelines on cleanliness, hygiene and social distancing. As of Saturday 8 August, face coverings are now mandatory inside our museum buildings, unless you have a legitimate reason not to wear one. For the list of exemptions, please refer to the latest government guidance.

We would like to reassure all our visitors that we take social distancing and safety measures very seriously in order to provide a safe and enjoyable visit. We will continue to monitor government guidance closely and update our safety measures accordingly.

4. Do not visit if you have symptoms of COVID-19

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are recent onset of a new continuous cough or a high temperature (over 38°C) or a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia). Please do not visit if you have any of these symptoms. You should stay at home and follow the government guidance. Please contact our Bookings team on 01908 272673 or [email protected] if you need to amend your booking.

5. Please check our latest information before leaving home

Occasionally we may need to update our guidance or amend some of our measures. Before leaving home please check our website and social media pages for the latest information.
