Bletchley Park, Ottawa and London 1939 - c. 1945. Formed "Illicit Signals Oliver Strachey" section (ISOS), in 1939, to process German Abwehr manual ciphers. Ottawa December 1941 - August 1942, GCCS representative and Director of XU. Returned to Bletchley Park in September 1942, worked variously on diplomatic ciphers, in Block D(3) and in diplomatic... research section in Berkeley Street and Aldford House.
