Give your children a magical experience this Christmas!

To celebrate the festive season here at Bletchley Park, we welcome children and their families to visit our Vintage 1940s Christmas Grotto to meet Father Christmas!

Your family will have a magical meeting with Father Christmas in our beautifully decorated Mansion, where children can spend time telling him their Christmas wishes and take photos surrounded by vintage toys, Christmas trees, 1940’s greeting cards and decorations. All children will receive a lovely Christmas gift to take home.

When is the Grotto running?

Bletchley Park’s Vintage 1940s Christmas Grotto will be running on select dates:

21 – 22 Nov, 28 – 29 Nov, 5 Dec, 12-13 Dec, 19-23 Dec 2020

To help minimise queuing and aid social distancing, all visitors must pre-book a timed entry slot to the Grotto and entry to Bletchley Park.

How do I book?

Tickets will go live at 9am from Friday 25 September 2020.

Please call our Bookings team on 01908 272673 to book your Grotto experience and entry to Bletchley Park.

How much are tickets?

All visitors to the Christmas Grotto will need a general admission ticket to Bletchley Park.

General admission prices: Adults £21.00, children (12-17) £12.50 and children under 12 free. If you are a Friend or existing Annual Season Pass holder, you will just need to book tickets and a timed entry slot for the Grotto.

Tickets for the Grotto cost £8.50 per child.

As an independent charity that relies on visitors for over 95% of our income, our temporary closure due to Covid-19 has had a huge impact on Bletchley Park Trust’s finances. Income from the Christmas Grotto will help support the ongoing work of Bletchley Park Trust.

Further information about our admission prices and discounts are available on our Visit Us pages.

Safety measures

Bletchley Park has received Visit Britain’s ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation in recognition of safety measures in place across the site for visitors and team members.

Visitors to the Vintage 1940s Christmas Grotto are kindly asked to follow one-way systems inside the Bletchley Park Mansion and follow social distancing guidance. The wearing of face coverings is now mandatory inside all museum buildings, including the Grotto.

To help avoid queuing and to manage visitor flow, we ask that all visitors to the Grotto arrive within 30 minutes of their timed entry slot. Please allow at least 15 minutes from arriving at Admissions to reaching the Bletchley Park Mansion – it will take a few minutes to go through Admissions, and the Mansion is a five-minute walk from the Visitor Centre following a suggested one-way route around the lake. Please see our online map of the site to help you plan your visit.

Full details on all of our safety measures on site, including our visitor risk assessment, are available on our ‘reopening safely’ pages and Vintage 1940s Christmas Grotto FAQs.
