We are delighted to announce that the Bletchley Park Shop was awarded Shop of the Year at this year’s Museum + Heritage Awards!
The Museum + Heritage Awards celebrate the very best of museums, galleries, and cultural and heritage visitor attractions from all over the world, so it is a fantastic honour to have won this award.
Our shop is very special to us and we are so proud of the hard work the team put in to help our visitors get the perfect souvenirs to remind them of their day, or books and resources to find out more about our story.
Lots of products are exclusive to Bletchley Park and only available in our shop. New merchandise is added each year, so keep an eye out the next time you visit!
Bletchley Park’s shop was chosen as the overall winner from five finalists that were shortlisted in the category. This is the second time the shop has made it through to the final, and to receive this important accolade is a culmination of all the efforts put in by Bletchley Park’s Visitor and Retail team to provide the best experience for our visitors.
The judges – who remain anonymous – praised the varied products available in the shop, and how they were displayed, including Bletchley Park-branded puzzle books and other bestsellers, such as the Bletchley Park gin, hoodies, caps and tea towels.
The award was accepted at the Museum + Heritage Awards ceremony, on Wednesday 10 May, on behalf of Bletchley Park by Justine Green, Bletchley Park’s Visitor Services and Retail Manager, and Rebecca Foy, Director of Public Engagement.
Rebecca commented after the event: “We are delighted to have our shop recognised as Shop of the Year by the Museums + Heritage Awards. This award is a real credit to all our teams who work tirelessly to make sure our shop is successful. We have a unique collection of products not available anywhere else, and we also build and change our offering throughout the year. This takes a dedicated team, and we are immensely proud of the work they do to ensure the shop highlights Bletchley Park’s remarkable history, the people who worked here, and the museum’s collections.”
Well done to all the team involved with the Bletchley Park Shop!
