Hut 3 and Hut 6

Explore these two restored wartime codebreaking Huts, and experience what it was like to work in wartime Bletchley Park. Plus “meet” some of the Codebreakers and listen to the men and women tell the stories of what happened inside these spaces through interactive exhibits, including sounds, projected images and authentic set dressing.

Hut 8

Formerly the Codebreaking Hut leading the breaking of German Naval Enigma messages, today Hut 8 houses exciting interactive exhibitions helping you understand the different methods the Codebreakers used to help them with their work. Don’t miss Alan Turing’s office inside Hut 8.

Also housed in Hut 8 is is a short film on ‘The Petard Pinch’ and a display run by the Royal Pigeon Racing Association.

Hut 11A: The Bombe Breakthrough

A permanent exhibition that tells the story of the Bombe machines in the actual building that housed the machines which broke Enigma. Wartime objects on display include original blueprints and components, decrypted Nazi messages and the W.R.N.S visitors’ book signed by key figures in the Bletchley Park story, including the GPO engineer Tommy Flowers.

D-Day: Interception, Intelligence, Invasion

An immersive cinematic exhibition explaining Bletchley Park’s secret D-Day role. Discover the vital importance of the Ultra intelligence produced at Bletchley Park, and the impact it had on one of the most important military operations of the twentieth century. This exhibition is housed in the Teleprinter Building.

Afternoon Tea is served on selected Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Monday throughout the year. Enjoy delicious food and drink in the Dining Room of The Mansion, once used by the World War Two Codebreakers, with stunning views across the grounds.

The Intelligence Factory

The Intelligence Factory, our exhibition in Block A is the largest exhibition space on site. Find out how Bletchley Park’s potential as an intelligence organisation was unleashed in the second half of World War Two.

Discover objects, personal stories and enjoy thrilling moments of interaction as you explore The Intelligence Factory, which focuses on Bletchley Park’s wartime operations from 1942 to 1945. Explore a key part of the Bletchley Park story and how it operated at an industrial scale to meet operational demands, with a multi-skilled workforce of around 9,000.

Early Days

This new exhibition on the first Bletchley Park Codebreakers covers the events of 1938 to late 1939. Focusing on the team of early pioneers who set up the wartime codebreaking headquarters at Bletchley Park in the build-up to World War Two, this is a story of teamwork and ingenuity at a time of global challenge.

Block E

Our state-of-the-art Learning Centre is housed in a refurbished wartime building – Block E, once Bletchley Park’s World War 2 communications centre.

Block E Learning Centre contains eight learning spaces which are designed to accommodate everyone from primary school learners to higher education students. The Learning Centre is also used for our family activities, on selected dates.

Block E was built in 1943 and was the only block devoted entirely to communications at Bletchley Park during World War Two. Sections working here handled incoming and outgoing messages, encryption using machines such as Typex, and the distribution of material throughout the organisation.

Chauffeur’s Hut

This is our meeting point for our complimentary guided tours. Our guided tours resumed on Sunday 1 August 2021. You can book onto a guided tour in our Block C Visitor Centre. The guided tour is mostly outdoors so please make sure you have suitable, weather-appropriate clothing.

Admission charge

The necessary escort of a visitor with a disability is admitted free of charge upon request, while the normal charge applies to the disabled visitor.

Our Relaxed Opening times are a designated period of time when we particularly welcome those who would benefit most from visiting at a quieter time and appreciate the opportunity to explore the exhibitions in a calm and relaxed environment.

During Relaxed Opening we make a number of changes to give people the confidence to visit us and expect understanding when they do.

We offer free multimedia guides to all of our visitors. Choose from an array of informative and entertaining stories, anecdotes and activities to further enhance your visit. There is a adult and a junior version. Available in British Sign Language (BSL) and audio description.

Hut 11

The wartime Hut that housed the Turing-Welchman Bombe machines – now restored and refurbished with an atmospheric exhibition giving a voice to the women who worked the machines in the Hut they dubbed the “Hell-Hole”.

The Veterans’ Stories exhibition showcases some of the many stories of life and work at Bletchley Park during WW2.

National Radio Centre

Operated by the Radio Society of Great Britain, in partnership with the Bletchley Park Trust, this fascinating exhibition traces the development of radio communications from inception through to the current day.

Stableyard

Wander through the Stableyard – a series of cottages  used by the Codebreakers during the early stages of the Government Code & Cypher School’s occupation of the site. A great day out with your family

Families can expect an exciting, fun-filled day, exploring the collections with hands-on displays and interactives. With plenty of outdoor space and so many different areas around the park to explore, go on an adventure and uncover some surprising stories.

There is a free multimedia guide available which includes a family tour specially designed for kids. A children’s playground is located near Hut 4 Café. On arrival, pick up one of our top secret Mission Packs (£1 per pack) providing activities and fun facts for all the family to enjoy. During the school holidays we run a variety of workshops and activities for children of all ages, see our ‘what’s on’ pages for details.
